The User Choice price represents the level of public funding the government contributes towards the total cost of training for apprentices and trainees. Other contributions by industry, employers, apprentices and trainees may be required.
The QLD government contribution fees under the User Choice program are set at $1.60 per nominal hour for each unit of competency to be calculated at the commencement of the unit of competency. A partial fee exemption will be calculated at $1.60 per nominal hour for each unit of competency x 40% and a full fee exemption will require no additional payment. If you are a school based apprentice or trainee you are entitled to a full fee exemption. For further information refer to https://training.qld.gov.au/providers/funded/userchoice
